Applying eyeliner varies on the form of eyeliner you choose. Each eyeliner formula will provide a different look and need a different technique.

Changing your eyeliner is an easy way to vary your look. Maybe you have a special occasion coming up and you want to make the most of it. You can receive a different look just by changing to liquid from pencil or vice versa. Eyeliner provides a dramatic effect with just a little effort. That's why it is one of my favs.

Eyeliner Formulas

Liquid Eyeliner: Liquid eyeliner is a liquid that is applied with a fine brush or with a fine sponge-tip applicator. It is the most dramatic and last all day. It should only be used on the top lashes because it is too harsh to be applied all the way around the eye. Liquid eyeliner does take a little bit of practice but once you get it, you get it.

Pencil Eyeliner: Pencil eyeliner is the most popular form and the easiest one to apply. With a sharp point on the tip you can easily draw a thin line along the lashes. There are many forms but I recommend a water-resistant or waterproof pencil so it will last longer without smudging.

Cream Eyeliner: Cream eyeliner usually comes in a jar form and is applied with a damp eyeliner brush. It dries a lot faster and is easier to use then the liquid eyeliner, but has similar dramatic results.

Powder Eyeliner: Some eye shadows can double as eyeliner and an eye shadow depending on the brand. With a damp eyeliner brush, apply the eye shadow just like you would an eyeliner pencil. This is a little softer effect that gives you a more natural look but still brings attention to your eyes.

I've used liquid eyeliner a lot and have never had my eyelashes torn out. I don't know what would cause it do that. I do know that it needs to be replaced every 3 months and should be removed with an eye makeup remover.

I use liquid all the time! My eylashes have yet to fall out. I use liqiud on the top lid and pencil on the bottom it's SO much easier. Just make sure you replace and get ne make up frequently. You DO NOT want pink eye.
