» poeticmutiny - Bleach Help - Brassy

I just got my hair bleached professionally. It's yellow and I do not like it. I've been reading that I should use a toner. But the issue is that I bleached the top part of my head and the bottom part is a dark brown and I'm scared the toner will screw up the hair under if I get it on there.

Suggestions about how to do this? What brands product, etc.? My hair is so yellow that I cannot even handle going out and I need to do something ASAP. I've never had this happen before in all my years of dying. I have naturally blonde-ish hair. I feel cheated and that this isn't supposed to happen to me:(.

Also, is this yellow something that'll like, go away in a few washings? I haven't dyed my hair in a long time so I'm a little out of practice.

Thanks!

Honestly, I don't know much about hair but fortunately for you I have a good friend who is a retired hairstylist and used to travel all over the US teaching haircolor. I asked her about your problem and this was the response. Hope it helps. Thank you

"The yellow will not go away .It is a stage of bleaching. I think perhaps they did not leave bleach on long enough. To eliminate yellow in hair you go across the color wheel to violet. You will need a color with a violet base. I suggest Shades by Redken (and a new hairdresser)."
