Does the brand of mascara make much difference? In other words, would Dollar Store Maybelline work just as well as the expensive brands? What kind can you recommend? Thanks!

I read somewhere a long time ago that if you dust your eyelashes with powder before applying mascara, it makes them appear thicker. When I remember, I do it, and it does seem to work.

Joy,

I have never heard that trick with baby powder, I'll have to try it and let you know! As for the brand of mascara...I can say when I use a higher qulaity of mascara that it does last all day when the store brands seem not to. Just my opinion. If that is something you have a problem with then I would recommend switching to a higher quality brand such as Mary Kay's Ultimate Mascara, which is the one I use. I also hear great things about Lancome's mascara. But if price is an issue I would stick with the Covergirl or Maybelline. The most important thing about mascara is to change it every three months to prevent an eye infection. It doesn't matter how thick your lashes are if you have pink eye or whatever. Thanks!
